Finally, a sustainable charcoal that burns super hot for a long time! Shirozumi Eucalyptus Charcoal is made using the same techniques as the legendary Binchotan, but fast-growing Eucalyptus wood makes it very sustainable and affordable. Less dense than binchotan, it is somewhat easier to light and burns intensely for 3-4 hours, perfect for backyard grilling or even dinner service.

"This perfect charcoal is a good inexpensive alternative. Pro tip - reuse the unfinished charcoal by dropping it in a pail of water when done, then drying out a paper towel for a couple days."
"I picked up a box of shirozumi and a box of ogatan for my yakatori grill and mixed it 1/3 ogatan to 2/3 Shirozumi. Charcoal lit well after 15 minutes on my BBQ side burner. Great heat, no smoke and lasted quite a while. Most importantly, the yakatori came out great!"
"Excellent for yakitori, burns well and long lasting. I would suggest this charcoal as a great mid tier option."
"Burns hot for a very long time."

"Lower smoke, burns longer than lump. I mix this charcoal with Ogatan. Spends but with it. Burns for hours. Can use it 2-3 times if you put it out in water and let it dry."
